Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of the Wevia AI people-intelligence service.

Effective and last updated: July 17, 2026

Wevia AI is currently a free private beta. No paid plan or automatic renewal is active as of the effective date. Sections 5–7 explain the rules that will apply if a paid plan is offered and accepted in the future.

1. Operator and acceptance

Wevia AI (the “Service”) is operated by Ricky Yin, an individual developer (referred to as “Wevia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms form an agreement between the operator and each person or organization using the Service.

By creating an account, using the Service, subscribing to a plan, or purchasing credits, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have authority to enter this agreement, agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and will use the Service only for lawful purposes. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service description

Wevia is an internet-delivered software service that helps authorized users discover and evaluate people from lawfully accessible public information. It may collect public-source snapshots, resolve external identities, generate evidence-based scores, and preserve source lineage for review.

Results may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. The Service does not provide employment-screening, consumer-credit, medical, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for independently verifying results and for any decision made from them.

3. Accounts and security

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for credentials, sessions, and activity under your account.
  • You must promptly report unauthorized access to rickyyin98@gmail.com.
  • If you register for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization.
  • Access may be restricted to approved beta users, workspaces, or daily usage limits.

4. Plans and digital delivery

Current beta access costs $0. If Wevia later offers a subscription or credit pack, the checkout will show the price, currency, billing interval, included usage, applicable taxes, and whether it renews. Paid access is a digital service delivered immediately after payment confirmation.

We may change future plan features or prices, but a change will not apply retroactively. For an existing recurring plan, we will give reasonable advance notice before a new price applies.

5. Payment and renewal

Waffo Pancake will act as merchant of record and payment processor for any checkout identified as a Wevia purchase. Waffo Pancake may collect payment and billing information, determine and remit applicable tax, issue receipts, and manage refunds, chargebacks, and payment disputes. Wevia does not store complete payment-card numbers.

If you choose an auto-renewing plan, you expressly authorize the displayed recurring charge until you cancel. The checkout and purchase confirmation will state the renewal interval. We will provide advance notice before an annual renewal and before a free trial converts to a paid plan where such a plan is offered.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel any future subscription from Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel. If that control is unavailable, email rickyyin98@gmail.comfrom your registered address. We will respond within two business days. Cancellation prevents future renewals; access normally continues through the already-paid billing period unless the checkout states otherwise. A cancellation confirmation will be sent by email.

7. Refund policy

Digital-service payments are generally final after delivery, except in the following cases:

  • A first-time subscriber may request a full refund within seven days of the initial charge if no more than 20% of the included usage has been consumed.
  • Duplicate or incorrect charges will be refunded in full after verification.
  • A verified outage within our control lasting at least 72 consecutive hours may qualify for a pro-rated credit or refund.
  • Mandatory statutory cancellation or refund rights remain unaffected.

Request a refund from your registered email at rickyyin98@gmail.com, stating the account email, order ID, purchase date, and reason. We aim to decide complete requests within five business days. Approved refunds return to the original payment method; bank processing may take additional time. Abuse, fraud, or substantial consumed usage may make a request ineligible where law permits.

8. Billing disputes

Contact us within 30 days after the charge before filing a bank dispute so we can investigate. We aim to answer within two business days and resolve a verified billing error within five business days. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

9. Data, inputs, outputs, and public sources

You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Service. We do not use private user inputs to train a general-purpose AI model without explicit consent.

Public-source content remains subject to its original owners' rights and platform terms. Wevia does not transfer ownership of third-party content to you. Source providers may include arXiv, Semantic Scholar, TikHub, and supported public social platforms, and their availability may affect the Service.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • break applicable law, card-network rules, sanctions, or a source platform's lawful access rules;
  • harass, stalk, discriminate against, deceive, or unlawfully profile a person;
  • make a solely automated high-impact decision about employment, credit, housing, insurance, health, or legal rights;
  • collect or expose secrets, payment data, government identifiers, precise location, or other sensitive data without a valid legal basis;
  • infringe privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights;
  • introduce malware, evade limits, probe security, scrape the Service at scale, or resell access without written approval;
  • misrepresent evidence, impersonate another person, or use outputs to facilitate fraud.

11. Privacy and security

Our Privacy Policy describes data practices and is incorporated into these Terms. Waffo Pancake processes complete card data for paid transactions; Wevia receives limited order and payment-status information. We use HTTPS, access controls, token encryption, and audit records, but no system is guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, brand, software, interfaces, and original documentation belong to the operator or applicable licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service. Feedback may be used without obligation, provided it does not reveal your confidential information.

13. Disclaimers and liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. PUBLIC DATA AND MACHINE-GENERATED OR DETERMINISTIC SCORES MAY BE WRONG OR OUTDATED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF USD 100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT. THIS LIMIT DOES NOT APPLY WHERE PROHIBITED.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, fraud, prohibited use, legal requirement, or discontinued beta. You may request account deletion by email. If we terminate a paid plan without cause, we will provide a pro-rated refund for the unused prepaid period. Data is handled according to the Privacy Policy and mandatory retention rules.

15. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the People's Republic of China, without excluding mandatory consumer protections in your country. Contact us first to seek an informal resolution. Any dispute not resolved informally will be submitted to a court with lawful jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 15 days before taking effect unless an urgent legal or security change requires less notice. The version and effective date at the top will be updated.
